OPEN Submissions Rules:

• Short Film category: Films 2 - 60 minutes in length. No trailers with credits no longer than 1 minute.
• Full length category: Films 1 – 2 hours in length. No trailers.

Types of Films Accepted: Narrative, documentary, experimental, or animated films. Films in or with prior limited commercial release, theatrical exhibition, commercial TV broadcast or webcast, or limited commercial video distribution will be considered. Cwfilmfest will NOT consider commercials or advertisements, educational, industrial, medical or informational films, video games or new media games

Student Submissions Rules:

• Short Film category: Films 2 - 60 minutes in length. No trailers with credits longer than 30 seconds.
• Full length category: Films 60 – 120 minutes in length. No trailers.

Types of Films Accepted: Narrative, documentary, experimental, or animated films. Films in or with prior limited commercial release, theatrical exhibition, commercial TV broadcast or webcast, or limited commercial video distribution will be considered. Cwfilmfest will NOT consider commercials or advertisements, educational, industrial, medical or informational films, video games or new media games.

Submissions should address controversial topics in a professional manner. Submissions cannot be sexually explicit, portray images that demean or are violent toward any person, gender, race, ethnic group or animals, or use extreme levels of profanity.

Parental Release: Student entrants under the age of 18 must send in a completed Parental Release Form.
