The Women's Film Festival FEMCINE invites female directors from Chile and the rest of the world to participate in one of its three competition categories:

International Feature Length Competition
Films must be at least 60 minutes in length and no longer than 120 minutes, including credits.

International Short Film Competition
Films must not exceed 30 minutes in length, including credits.

National Chilean Film School Short Film Competition.
Films must not exceed 30 minutes in length, including credits. This category is open to young female filmmakers who are currently students or who graduated in 2017 from one of the many film schools or institutes that offer audiovisual or related degrees in Chile.  The films submitted must have been produced while they were still students.

We only accept films directed solely by female filmmakers.

Year of production: 1^st January 2017 – 31^st October 2018

Any film that is not originally in Spanish, must be subtitled in Spanish or English. Screening copies of the films selected for competition must have Spanish subtitles.

All films participating in the competition may not be premiered in Santiago, Chile prior to their exhibition in the Festival.
